A safe space for healing and growth.
I offer a warm, confidential space for adults, young people and families — bringing together talk therapy, somatic tools and EFT to help you understand yourself, regulate difficult feelings, and move forward.
Meeting you where you are, with care and curiosity.
My name is Lisa and I am an experienced Integrative Psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with adults, adolescents, parents and young children, and have experience supporting Looked After Children.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, compassion, and collaboration. I believe every person has the capacity for growth and change, and I work alongside my clients to help them identify and overcome the obstacles that are preventing them from reaching their full potential.
Much of my experience has been with complex transgenerational trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). I am a culturally astute practitioner, drawing on EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Somatic Therapy in support of a Psychodynamic approach.
"Every individual has the capacity for growth and change. My role is to walk alongside you as you find your way."
A mind & body approach to therapy.
I'm passionate about incorporating somatic tools alongside talk therapy. Somatic therapy is a bottom-up approach that complements traditional top-down talk therapy — helping regulate the body and nervous system while exploring difficult feelings.
Integrative & Psychodynamic
Drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to what you need — rooted in a psychodynamic understanding of your story, relationships and the way you experience the world.
Somatic Therapy
Breathing techniques and body-based tools, informed by polyvagal theory, that help you understand the body's stress responses and triggers — and use that awareness between sessions.
EFT & Trauma-Informed
Emotional Freedom Technique alongside trauma-informed practice, with particular experience in complex transgenerational trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
Issues I support clients with
Within my broader specialism in complex trauma and ACEs, I work with a wide range of presenting issues, including:
Your first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet. We can begin to understand what brought you to counselling, discuss how the process works, and see if we are a good fit for each other.
If we decide to work together, sessions are 50 minutes long and held remotely or in person. When somatic tools are introduced, sessions may extend up to 70 minutes — this is always discussed and agreed in advance.
Initial consultation
A chance to meet, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore whether we feel like the right fit.
Therapeutic contract
In our first full session we'll agree how we'll work together — the practicalities, frequency, and boundaries that will hold our work.
Beginning the work
We start exploring your story, experiences and relationships — at the pace that feels right for you.
Ongoing support
Short- or long-term work, online or in person. Somatic tools introduced where helpful, with practices you can use between sessions.
Session fees
Clear, transparent pricing. Concessionary rates may be available — please ask if cost is a barrier.
Sessions held remotely by video — the same depth of work, from wherever you feel comfortable.
Face-to-face sessions in a calm, confidential setting in Exeter and Newton Poppleford, Devon.
Longer sessions when working with somatic tools — always agreed in advance.
Payment is taken at the time of booking. 48 hours' notice is required for cancellation or rescheduling.
